ABOUT US
Young Ideas and Henmores are two distinct premium retail brands, united by a shared passion for quality, style, and exceptional customer service.
Established in 1968, Young Ideas is a multi-award-winning luxury fashion boutique offering a carefully curated edit of premium womenswear and menswear from world-renowned designers. With over fifty years of heritage, we are known for our expert styling, personal service, and deep relationships with a loyal and discerning customer base.
Founded in 2018, Henmores is a premium country lifestyle retailer rooted in the Derbyshire countryside. Our stores in Ashbourne and at Peak Village, Rowsley — near Chatsworth House — offer timeless wardrobe essentials for outdoor living, brought to life by a team with genuine knowledge of country life and the brands we carry.
Both brands operate boutique stores in affluent Derbyshire market towns alongside a shared e-commerce platform. This role sits at the heart of how we present our products online, ensuring that our website accurately reflects our in-store offer at all times.
THE ROLE
This is a varied and detail-focused role working at the intersection of buying and digital retail. As Website & Buying Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring that products across Young Ideas and Henmores are accurately listed, beautifully presented, and live on the website in a timely and consistent manner.
You will work closely with the Buying Manager and Supply Chain & Inventory Manager to manage the full product lifecycle on Shopify — from initial setup through to going live, stock management, and ongoing maintenance. You will also be the key point of contact for collating product information and imagery from our brand partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product setup & website management
• Create and configure new products on the Shopify platform, ensuring all product data is accurate, complete, and consistently formatted across both brands
• Upload and manage product photography and imagery, ensuring images are correctly sized, sequenced, and presented to brand standard
• Set products live on the website at the appropriate time, coordinating with the Digital and Inventory Manager and buying team to align with stock arrivals and seasonal launches
• Maintain and update product listings throughout the product lifecycle — including price changes, description updates, variant additions, and end-of-season amendments
• Proactively monitor the website to identify and resolve any listing errors, missing content, or out-of-stock products that require attention
Stock & inventory
• Work with the Buying and Stock teams to ensure stock levels are correctly reflected on the website at all times
• Flag discrepancies or issues with stock data promptly and follow through to resolution
Brand & supplier communication
• Communicate directly with brand and supplier contacts to collate product information, imagery, sizing guides, and other assets required for website listings
• Build and maintain organised records of brand assets, ensuring all materials are accessible and up to date for use across both Young Ideas and Henmores
• Chase outstanding information proactively to ensure product setup is not delayed by missing content
General administration
• Maintain well-organised digital filing systems for product data, imagery, and supplier correspondence
• Support the buying and digital team with general administrative tasks as required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail — the ability to enter and manage data consistently and without errors is the most critical requirement of this role
• Highly self-motivated and proactive — able to manage your own workload, identify what needs to be done, and take ownership of keeping systems up to date without being chased
• Strong organisational skills — comfortable managing multiple products, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously
• Confident communicator — able to liaise professionally with brand and supplier contacts via email
• Good computer literacy — comfortable working with online platforms, spreadsheets, and digital tools
• An interest in fashion, lifestyle retail, or e-commerce
Desirable
• Experience working with Shopify or a similar e-commerce platform
• Experience in a retail buying, merchandising, or product administration environment
• Familiarity with basic image management or photo editing tools
• Experience working with brand or supplier portals and wholesale platforms
WHAT WE OFFER
• A varied and hands-on role at the heart of two premium independent fashion brands
• The opportunity to develop practical e-commerce and buying skills within a supportive and knowledgeable team
• A warm, collaborative working environment within a business that genuinely values its people
• 21 hours per week — a flexible, part-time pattern that respects work-life balance
• Salary of £13,500 per annum (pro-rata, based on a full-time equivalent of £22,500)
